Happy 3rd Un-Birthday, Olive

Olive, 

My precious second born baby. “Today” you would be three years old. I’d like to say that over the past three years I’ve thought about you less, but the truth is I think about you daily, it just doesn’t hurt as much as it did in the beginning. 

You have forever changed my life, and the trajectory that it is on. Your big sister joins me in conversations about you, what she thinks you like and look like, and to be completely honest, there are some looks that Atlas makes that I have no doubt is a little glimpse of what you look like. I have no doubt that you would have been mischievous and others would have to keep up with you. 

Your brief life is an example of that… we’ll catch up to you one day. 

Today is a special “un-birthday” (your real birthday is December 31st) because you are celebrating with your precious baby cousin who just a few short days ago started playing beside you. As heartbreaking as that is for us, I am so proud of your Auntie and Uncle to share their experience and know without a shadow of a doubt that you and your cousin were born into strong families, that love fiercely.
